Covid-19

Who knew when I wrote my last entry that Coronoavirus was going to become a pandemic around the world. Back then it was just something in China that had cancelled my daugter's school trip there.

As you can imagine the effects for us have been the same as for many businesses around the world and caused us to ground to a halt!

Whilst we are able to offer our services they have had to adjust and due to lockdown, home working and travel restrictions there is actually very little for m...

The first month of 2020 done and dusted

The year has started as busy as it finished, making lots of new friends as well as old ones returning for a holiday.

New boys Fred and Lenny arrived for their stay, they were great characters and as you can see from the photos poor Fred was a seat for Lenny at times! Hope to see them again soon!

Tess and then Riley arrived for a stay over the same weekend, both are big softies though they were very perplexed when Dotty joined us on the Sunday and dived straight into the flooded di...

Spring in Suffolk

Posted by peacockspetcare on May 11, 2019 at 11:10 AM Comments comments (0)

How erratic has our weather been? First sunny and only T-shirts needed and then there is the day we got hailed on, couple of not very happy dogs that day! Then of course we have had the rain and sun on the same day.

On Wednesday I had three very unhappy dogs in the pouring rain whilst the two Springers didn't have a care!

On Thursday we had an encounter with a Slow worm and then later in the walk we saw what we thought was a pile of manure only to discover as one of the dogs went...

It has been all go over the Easter Holidays. I have been visiting lots of my cat friends over the past few weeks and continue to visit some for the next couple of weeks too.

Once we got into the school holidays a few of my dogs went on their holidays and didn't need walks whilst my regular walkers Bertie and Oreo came to stay with me for their holidays.

We also have elderly Jess in who would quite happily spend forever asleep, she loves the idea of walks but the reality is somethi...

From snow to sun in less than a month!

Posted by peacockspetcare on February 19, 2019 at 11:45 AM Comments comments (0)

What a funny few weeks, we have gone from the snow a few weeks ago to these mild temperatures we have had now,

The dogs and I have been enjoying the warmer weather now, though surprisingly the little ones who normally sulk in bad weather weren't too fazed by the snow.

My guinea pigs who moved in for the cold spell are now enjoying a spell in the outside run!

We have had a couple of old friend's return. Both Emma and Toto came back for a short break with us, we have also had ...

Two weeks in to 2019 already!

We hope you are all having a good one so far.

We waved off Holly-Belle then Pip and Benji after their owners returned from their exciting jaunts around the world.

We then had a new girl come and stay, Lucy the Lurcher was a little shy at first but soon settled in and we discovered she loves a good cuddle!

Then it was time for Riley to return. He is still as cheeky as ever and enjoyed his trips out with the other dogs, walks with just us is...

Farewell 2018

Posted by peacockspetcare on December 30, 2018 at 5:20 PM Comments comments (0)

We hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and are looking forward to a great 2019!

We have had the pleasure of Holly-Belle, Pip and Benji for the full Christmas/New Year period and loved having them and they seem to have thoroughly enjoyed their walks and cuddles and fuss.

They loved our Christmas Day trip to Felixstowe beach, Pip and HB were straight in the sea, Benji keeps his distance. A bit later Charlotte was in too for a Hospice dip.

Before Christmas we have had Jess...

Return from holiday and Heatwave continues

Posted by peacockspetcare on August 6, 2018 at 12:55 PM Comments comments (0)

Back from holiday and straight away visiting our furry friends. Whilst I do love a holiday and we had a brilliant time I have to admit I do miss my dogs!

Of course the weather has made this job a little trickier as it is all about ensuring they stay safe and cool. So we have managed walks when the heatwave broke (humans and dogs running around in the rain that first night!) but otherwise it has been a lot of garden play. Paddling pool has mixed reviews whilst it takes some of the dogs a...

Heatwave

It has been a very busy and very very hot month!

I hope all of you and your furry friends have managed to keep cool these last few weeks.

We have been relieved to finally have cooler weather the last few days as it seemed like weeks of house visits and garden play back here! The dogs love a get together and a play in the garden but I think like me they were ready to really stretch their legs and run around and explore again.

The forest, like my garden, is very yellow, a remi...

Been a while since I updated, a whole school term. an entire Easter has been and gone and my twins are rapidly approaching their GCSE exams.

We have had a number of furry friends in and out of the past couple of months, Lisa has had a few stays with us again as well as Mischa, Izzie and Millie, Tommy, Monty, Holly-Belle and Hamish and Stanley have all been back to stay with us again and we've loved seeing them all again for cuddles and play. Two new dogs arrived for a stay, Kia and Harv...
